Jason Derulo Welcomes Baby Boy with Girlfriend Jena Frumes

Jason Derulo is a dad.
The singer and his girlfriend, model Jena Frumes, have welcomed their first child together. The baby boy, named Jason King Derulo, was born May 8 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.




Derulo took to Instagram on Tuesday to announce his son's arrival and share video documenting the birth, from driving Frumes to the hospital to meeting his son for the first time. "happiest day of my life bringing our baby boy (Jason King Derulo) home," said the new dad. "He's so lucky to have such a strong caring hero of a mother @jenafrumes."

Frumes also gushed over her baby boy, revealing the first photos of the newborn in the delivery room. "A glimpse of my first week with our healthy handsome little king," she wrote. "Life now has so much more meaning & I am so grateful. I'm so so so in love with this little boy he's everything I never knew I needed."

Back in March, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child. "Couldn't be more excited for this new chapter in our life," Derulo said at the time.
Derulo, 31, and Frumes, 27, met at the gym shortly before the pandemic and have been together for over a year. "We both have a similar desire to work out all the time, and I had seen her once there before, and then the second time, I was like, 'Aight. Imma go talk to her,' and the rest is history," Derulo told Page Six.
