YoungBoy Never Broke Again is alive and well.
Earlier this month, a Facebook post falsely claimed that the chart-topping rapper, born Kentrell Gaulden, was found dead in his jail cell. The erroneous headline read, "The worlds biggest artist NBA YOUNGBOY who's real name is Kentrell DeSeaun Gaulden was found dead in his cell earlier today."

When USA Today reached out to law enforcement officials, they confirmed that there's no truth to the rumor.
The 21-year-old was not found dead in his cell, according to Greg Moroux, chief legal counsel at St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office, the facility where he is being held.
Gaulden was incarcerated at St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on April 13 and currently remains in custody. He was arrested in Los Angeles in March following a pursuit with police.

He had an outstanding warrant on drug and weapons charges from a September 2020 arrest in Baton Rouge. He pleaded not guilty to one count of felon in possession of a firearm and one count of possession of an unregistered firearm, and is awaiting trial, which is scheduled for next month.
In April, photos of YoungBoy in jail surfaced, seemingly showing him in good spirits while posing with several other inmates. He is also reportedly expecting his eighth child with on-again, off-again girlfriend Jazlyn Mychelle.
